Brian Phillips leads installation programs which transform management cultures. By training and coaching an organization’s leadership team, Brian has improved management skillsets and helped DB&A successfully exceed the expectations of clients on more than 60 projects within Automotive, Aerospace, Distribution, Construction, Mining, Steel, Pulp and Paper, Shipbuilding, Engineering, Biotechnology, Government and Nuclear Power industries.
In 1982, Brian completed a five-year program at State University of New York at Potsdam and Clarkson University earning two four-year degrees. He graduated from Clarkson University with a BS degree in Engineering and from State University of New York at Potsdam with a BA degree in Geology.
From 1982 to 1990, Brian held various positions in the field of Engineering including Engineer for the City of Dallas, Texas. Before working at DB&A, he worked as a Consultant for the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Board. Primary responsibilities at the DFW airport were the management of contracts, progress payments, claims processing, project management, and scheduling.
Brian began his career at DB&A as a Consultant in 1990. He was promoted to Project Manager in 1993 and promoted to the current position of Chief of Operations in 1999. Under Brian’s leadership, DB&A’s outstanding work has resulted in multiple repeat projects. In one instance, a client had 14 additional projects. In another case, a client had 20 additional projects based on the dramatic results achieved on the first project.
Brian’s professional philosophy is to expect excellence of himself, his peers, his people and his leadership.
Brian spends weekends drag racing his Corvette with friends for fun.
