This Summer, Harmi Shah got the opportunity to intern at DB&A, a cross-industry management consulting service. Shah is pursuing her Master’s in Business Analytics at the University of Texas at Dallas.

WorkSite is a cloud-based Data & Analytics product developed by DB&A to provide clients with the ability to gauge performance and productivity at all levels of operations. It provides management with insight into real-time data thus allowing them to make business decisions based on the numbers.

“The company has many ongoing projects, and I had an opportunity to handle the project from the basic setup of a new client and support the existing ones,” said Shah, who joined as a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern on May 23, 2022.

“My first weeks there went by in a blur while learning about the product from the client’s perspective to understand the functionalities and then from a technical standpoint. Once I was familiar with the product, I started supporting the implementation of our business intelligence software by developing system requirements, assessing client available data, planning, and developing data integration services using Talend. It has been a wonderful experience as I am getting to learn something new every day.”

Shah adds, “I would like to thank my manager Yash Parekh, and my entire team Brian, Abhishek, Farhan, and Soumya for helping and guiding me. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Madison without whom I would not have gotten this opportunity. I am sure that this experience would be of great value to me in the future.”
