Neil Kapadia

Director of Analysis

As a Director of Analysis at DB&A, Neil’s role is to lead a team of between 5-15 Associates and Senior Executives on 2-week assessments/due diligence efforts of client operations to identify performance improvement opportunities that match their long-term business goals.

In close to 10 years with the company, Neil has led over 200 assessments and due diligence efforts (2-3 week engagements) across a range of industries including banking, aerospace, biotech, pharma, transportation, automotive, textiles, manufacturing, retail, engineering, and defense. While he is industry agnostic, his particular area of expertise is understanding how well organizations execute against their processes and what role management plays in driving a culture of execution excellence.

Neil completed his undergraduate education in 2003 with a triple major in civil engineering, finance, and economics from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA). In addition, he received his MBA from INSEAD (France and Singapore) in 2010.

Prior to joining DB&A, Neil spent over a decade honing his skills both as a trusted advisor and as an entrepreneur. The first 8 years of his career were spent with BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting). In addition, he honed his business acumen as an entrepreneur building enterprises in food service, apparel, and commercial real estate development.

Insights:

Consulting at its core is a noble profession in that we are enlisted by our clients to provide our insights to help improve their businesses, but, in order to be a truly valuable service, one has to have the courage to do what is in the best interest of the client at all times. Only by doing so can we establish the right relationships to drive value to our client’s enterprise.

While the Analysis process delivers an incredible amount of operational data and insights in just a short, 2-week window, the process is also designed to explore the impact which the right management culture can impress upon daily performance throughout an organization. It is the willingness of the local leadership team to accept this knowledge that truly allows our clients to experience such rapid and valuable changes in their organization when working with our team.
